A change...

Hello there!

Its been a long time since I've posted. Time goes by so fast, most of it is taken up by daily needs and well just plain not being a good steward of the precious gift of TIME.

I've been keeping the babies, which by the way are not babies anymore but toddlers! My daughter finished cosmetology school and is now a licensed cosmetologist! My other daughter who's a cosmetologist finished her schooling to be a cosmetology instructor and will be taking some courses this coming spring.

During all this babysitting and schooling...we bought a hairsalon! Its small and a great place to get the girls started on their own. They worked hard in remodeling it, I'll try and post some before and after pictures. So now with all their hard work comes "that HAIR shop" ready for business. I am proud of them. I thank the Lord that he provided us with all that was needed to see this vision come through...without Him nothing could have been possible. We are soooo blessed!!

So being that today is Christmas Day and knowing that the main reason we celebrate is because of Jesus, I thank Him for all the multiple blessings he has graced me with. My cup runneth over!

Anniversary....

Today is our 32nd Wedding Anniversary!!

God has blessed us so much.

We have wonderful children and grandchildren, what could one ask more of?!

Why I've been MIA

Wow, its been a super long time since I've posted! I've been busy with babies and all around life. :O) Here's some pics of the babies....

Sometimes life has a way of keeping us so busy and that we tend to pass by the many blessing God showers us daily.

What an awesome God we serve!!

Here's a picture of my sister-in-laws birthday cake my daughter made for her.

The party had a retro/peace theme to it going along with her "era"! We had a wonderful time, got to see alot of family we don't get to see often. Lots of laughter and of course eating!

Here's a picture of his birthday cake also made by my daughter.

Its not to visible but that tiny little brown spot sitting on the top layer of the cake is Curious George and his name was spelled out with candles on the bottom layer.... it was to cute, just not a close up picture. Wish I had a better/closer picture to show.

We went to my sister-in-laws 50th birthday party this past weekend, what a wonderful time we had. My daughter made her cake which was in the retro "peace" theme. Will post a picture as soon as I get them uploaded.

4) Make better use of my time.
5) Be a Godly example/role model for the babies.
6) The list goes on......

I have so many things that I want to do and try this year!

Hello everyone!

Its a new year bringing new goals and desires. I hope to do much better this year than I did last. With new babies, a website to work on, candles to make, home to keep up well I must admit some of these did not get my full attention...well except for the babies!! They had lots of attention. I can't believe that next month our Valentine baby will be 1!!

Which brings me to .... "its time to get Valentines Day candles made."

We are going to work up a few new fragrances. Need to make "Very Sexy for Her", Forever Romance, Sweet Pea, Between the Sheets, Cupids Kiss and many more, so I guess its time to get cracking.

I plan to make up a 2009 Goal list, will post it as soon as I get it done up.

With all that said.... Happy New Year and may it be the best yet!

We've been getting Christmas candles ready. Here's some pics of our candles.

Our Thanksgiving holiday was wonderful. Of course ate too much! Hope yours was filled with family, friends and love.

Working

It has been a while since I posted or even been near our blog. Our time is taken pretty much by our business and raising two babies. A bit of history in order for you to get to know us better. I started making candles two years ago. With much prayer I bought the equipment from a person who had decided it was time to sell. This past year my daughters each had a baby and went through a separation. Being single parents, they were faced with all the same trials so many other single parents face. We decided to turn lemons into lemonade. :O) Our lemonade became a mother/daughter candle business. We began working toward building our candle business thus helping all of us out!

We felt the need to offer a line of products that would not only be of excellent quality but affordable to everyone. We offer handpoured soy blend candles, carpet powder with over 100 fragrances to choose from. Soon we hope to be offering our enviornmently safe detergent, natural soap and much more. Our creative, crafty minds and hands get to going we will soon have more.
